Nuclear Power Plant

It is to turn the turbine using steam from water boiled by heat comes out from finely split uranium nuclei, and is located on the waterfront where is easy to get water to cool the heat. However, there are difficulties in disposal of waste.

Thermal Power Plant

It is a system to turn the turbines using steam which comes from water boiled by, as is commonly called, fossil energy (oil, coal, LPG gas, etc. It is able to provide cheap electricity in the middle of the night as it takes a long time to boil and cool water.

Wind Power Plant

It is located where the average annual wind speed is 4.4m/sec or more, and gets electricity as the wind turns the windmill -shaped vane (turbine).

Hydroelectric power plant

It is to turn the turbine using fall head from high place to low place - pumping up, dam, river diversion, and low head type power plant. Dam power plant is to turn the turbine installed in floodgates when water is discharged. Pumping up power plant is to use the pumped-storage power (when electricity is not enough, such as the air conditioning is used) in case of excess demand in summer, and, at night, to raise again the water using the re-pumping machine utilizing spare electricity in thermal power plant. And river diversion type is to flow water in east side for making big head used in a country like Korea which is a terrain of high east and low west.

Wave power plant

Tidal power plants, using tidal difference, is to close the gates at high tide, and then to turn the turbines using water discharged when opening the gate.

Wave power plant

It is to turn the turbine using wave energy, and it is to be constructed in Jeju island.
